Kerry's Comment Dumb But Taken Out of Context
John Kerry's statement that "You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq" was stupid but taken out of context.

John Kerry's statement that "You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq" was stupid but taken out of context.
The reference was that Bush is stupid, not the troops. He was supposed to say that if you don't study you get "us" stuck in Iraq. It was a bad joke regardless but stupid that he got it wrong.
The joke really fired up Bush who was campaigning in Georgia, so much so that the ignorant people attending actually cheered when Bush said "We weren't in Iraq when 9/11 occurred and 3,000 people died." Clearly Bush supporters have no clue what they are cheering for, maybe they just see the applause light and go nuts. Sort of like Pavlovian dogs or something.
